The Age Of Computer-Generated Marketing Videos Has Arrived: Meet Movio

AI based on generative algorithms has suddenly become ubiquitous. In the past year, companies like OpenAI and Stability AI have demonstrated mind-blowing text-to-image algorithms.

Now, other next-gen AI startups are looking to create even more impressive creations using the magic of these algorithms. Among them is Movio.

Meet Newcomer, Movio

An industry newcomer, Movio is making entire videos of speaking human avatars using generative AI. Much like Canva, a drag-and-drop graphic design program, marketers will be attracted to the Movio platform for its ease-of-use.

Users will begin the process by picking a project template – say, one for an e-commerce site? Then, an incredibly life-like human avatar is introduced to as the video’s “spokesperson.” These avatars will move and behave just like a real human being would on film.

This spokesperson, even more impressively, will read text written by the user. Settings regarding the avatar’s face, outfit, and voice can be altered in just a few clicks.

Josh Xu, Movio founder and CEO, met co-founder & CPO Liang Wang, while they both studied at the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University.

“We are doing what Jasper and Copy.ai do but for video production,” Xu mentioned to TechCrunch. “Videos are powerful — just image if marketers can send emails with talking human avatars instead of plain text.”
